The headline fight of yesterday’s Fight Code event which took place in Milan, Italy was of course the bout between Giorgio Petrosyan and Arthur Kyshenko.
by a unanimous decision by the ringside judges. The fight was won by Petrosyan

The seemly heaver Kyshenko eyed slow compared to his opponent who moved freely true the ring landing solid kicks and punches while avoiding most of what Kyshenko had to throw at him.

With a fight against Yodsanklai Fairtex coming up in two weeks, Artur Kyshenko now has another bout set. He’ll fight on February 4th in Turin, Italy on the Thai Boxe Mania event which has played host to Giorgio Petrosyan before. His opponent, Roberto Cocco, is an Italian fighter based out of Turin who has recently fought in the MPL.

Yodsanklai Fairtex will be back in action when he fights Artur Kyshenko at Rumble of the Kings on November 26th in Sweden. The event will feature K-1/Muay Thai fights as well as MMA. Yodsanklai and Kyshenko will fight under modified rules with clinch allowed, but no elbows.

Although fans have known about the upcoming It’s Showtime Fast and Furious 70 kg. tournament for some time, the Dutch kickboxing promotion has been silent regarding the other bouts that fans will get to see come September 24th.

Artur Kyshenko vs Gago Drago – Its Showtime

The past two years in K-1 MAX have been transformation years for the K-1 MAX division. In 2009 an Italian fighter by the name of Giorgio Petrosyan looked poised to take the whole tournament, Japanese ace Masato decided not to participate in the World MAX tournament and instead announced he would retire by the end of the year. Yuya Yamamoto seemed poised and energized to take that “Masato spot” in K-1 MAX until Giorgio Petrosyan beat the ambition out of him. Andy Souwer and Buakaw Por. Pramuk met again in the semi-finals, with Souwer moving on to the finals where Petrosyan took him to task and handily took his first title.
