Roberto Cocco’s interview before MPL3

The “Italian Stallion” vs. the “Lion of Prokopyevsk.” Who will prevail? The odds are in Artem Levin’s favor. Artem Levin holds every belt imaginable. Name a belt & I bet he has it. He’s arguably the best Muay Thai fighter in his weight division. Roberto Cocco is no slouch. He has had an extensive fight career, and has held numerous titles in the past. This is sure to be one of the more exciting match ups at Muay Thai Premier League’s “BLOOD & STEEL” This Sunday in the Netherlands. TMT: I’ve seen Artem Levin repeatedly put his hands behind his back in the middle of a fight to taunt his opponents. What are you going to do if Artem Levin gets cocky with you, and puts his hands behind his back?

Roberto Cocco: If he does that I’ll try to punch him in the face.

TMT: Artem Levin is really good at catching leg kicks, and pushing his opponents forward. Have you been working on any strategy’s to avoid him catching your kicks.

Roberto Cocco: Yes, I have studied some his fights. He generally catch’s the kicks to the mid-section. I’m going to throw many low kicks, and I’ll work in a low distance with my punch.

TMT: American Muay Fighter Joe Schilling just knocked out Kaoklai Kaennorsing in the first round at The M-One Grand “Team USA vs. Team Thailand” here in Downtown Los Angeles, CA. You recently lost a decision to Kaoklai Kaennorsing at Muay Thai Premier Leagues “Strength & Honour” in Padua, Italy. Have you heard of Joe Schilling, and would you have any interest in fighting him?

Roberto Cocco: No,I don’t know him. I have never refused any fight.

TMT: Have you ever been to America? Do you want to come to Los Angeles? We have movie stars. You can visit Hollywood Blvd. & see Beverly Hills. Any interest?

Roberto Cocco: I only know of Los Angeles what I’ve seen in movies. I would like to come visit.

TMT: Who are those beautiful women carrying your belts into the ring?

Roberto Cocco: I do not know them, if you are interested I will ask them as soon as I see them.

TMT: I see you have a professional career in both Boxing, & Muay Thai? Which do you prefer?

Roberto Cocco: It’s hard to say, I like all ring sports, I prefer big events…whichever the sport.

TMT: Who have you lost too that you would like to have a rematch with & why?

Roberto Cocco: The decisions that I won but they gave the victory to my opponent, along with the ones where I didn’t perform at my potential. I wont mention any names.

TMT: While in Holland are you going to visit the red light district?

Roberto Cocco: I swear I’ve never been ahahah

TMT: What would you like to tell your fans?

Roberto Cocco: The fans?? I’d like to meet them all. Every time I read their messages I am full of motivation.

TMT: Have you been to Thailand, & have you fought & trained there?

Roberto Cocco: Yes, I fought at Lumpinee Stadium in April 2005, and I trained in Bangkok at Fairtex campus.
