It’s Showtime Lyon: Petrosyan-Mabel, Pinca-Amrani, and More Rumored for May 14th Card

A little bit of clarification came for many today, as the LiverKick.com interview with It’s Showtime president Simon Rutz made it apparent that the organization is in the process of finalizing the Badr Hari return bout that has been talked about.

Well, as of yesterday, there are some new rumors that we can bring into the discussion of the event. Judging by these rumors, it’s evident that the grip of Muay Thai talent which France currently holds will be on display when It’s Showtime comes to town.

The biggest news? Giorgio Petrosyan may be meeting Abdallah Mabel for a fourth installment of the series between the two. Petrosyan has, of course, proven victorious in the three prior bouts (all of which took place in 2007), taking two decisions and scoring a technical knockout victory. A French Muay Thai standout, Mabel has defeated Naruepol Fairtex and come up short against Kem Sitsongpeenong and Saiyok Pumpanmuang in his last three bouts

Meanwhile, Fabio Pinca is also rumored to appear on the card, meeting Mosab Amrani. The possibility of the Thai Fight champion meeting a rising fighter like Amrani is definitely exciting. If you’ve seen them fight, you know they are both willing to trade. While we all know the show Amrani just put on in December, I’m still amazed by parts of the bout that Pinca had against Youssef Boughanem in the final at Thai Fight.

It seems we may also get to see Yohan Lidon take on Armenia’s Marat Grigorian. Grigorian is also among the competitors for the It’s Showtime Brussels event, having been listed since the event information was posted some time ago. The Armenian is scheduled to face Henri van Opstal at that event in March.

Lyon is also very likely to see Daniel Ghita, and there is yet another rumor that Jerome Le Banner may be plying his trade as well.
