Well, here’s the confirmation I was looking for: Giorgio Petrosyan is fighting Sudsakorn Sor. Klinmee instead of Yohan Lidon at Thai Boxe Mania 2011. As was reported earlier, Thai Boxe Mania 2011 will happen on January 29th in Torino, Italy. The Petrosyan-Sudsakorn bout will be fought under K-1 rules at 70kg. Petrosyan, the current K-1 MAX champion at that weight, is coming off of injury, while Sudsakorn is currently engaged in Thailand’s qualifying tournament for Isuzu Thai Fight 2011. In fact, Sudsakorn is set to face Kem Sitsongpeenong this Saturday, January 15th, in what is surely the most high profile bout of that qualifier.

Armen Petrosyan joins his brother on this card, as he will be facing Miodrag Olar at 72.5kg. The young Petrosyan is definitely coming into his own and has been in there with a higher level of competition than his Romanian opponent. Olar may be worth keeping an eye out for, but Petrosyan is the definite favorite here, and for good reason.

Thai Boxe Mania will also feature a Muay Thai match between Andrei Kulebin and Kaopon Lek. Kaopon Lek is a former champion at both Lumpinee and Rajadamnern stadiums. The Belarusian Kulebin is well regarded as far as fighters outside of Thailand go, and he’s ranked in the top ten by the WBC MT at welterweight.

The card will also feature a bout between Abdallah Mabel and Constantin Sebrenikov, and a host of bouts including a few names you might recognize and plenty of fighters from Italy and France. Full card after the jump.
